New Year's Day New Year's Day, which is on January 1, marks the start of the year in the Gregorian calendar. This holiday is celebrated in many countries worldwide.
Prophet Muhammad's Birthday Prophet Muhammad's birthday is commemorated by Muslims during the month of Rabiulawal, the third month of the Muslim calendar. Prophet Muhammad's birthday is also called Maulud Nabi, and is commonly marked by religious lectures and readings of the Quran.
Israa & Miaraj Night Isra and Mi'raj, also known as Al Isra' wal Miraj, is observed on the 27th day of the month of Rajab, the seventh month in the Islamic calendar. This event marks the night that Allah (God) took Mohammad on a journey from Mecca to Jerusalem and then to heaven.
Eid-al-Fitr Eid-al-Fitr is the first day of the Islamic month of Shawwal. It marks the end of Ramadan, which is a month of fasting and prayer. According to Islamic tradition, the sighting of a new moon determines the end of Ramadan and start of a new month. Families who have been fasting during daylight hours for the holy month were to gather at Abu Dhabi mosques at 4.49am tomorrow for the dawn prayer.

Eid al-Adha Eid al-Adha also called Feast of the Sacrifice, the Major Festival, is an important religious holiday celebrated by Muslims worldwide to honour the willingness of the prophet Abraham to sacrifice his young first-born son Ishmael as an act of submission to God's command and his son's acceptance to being sacrificed, before God intervened to provide Abraham with a Lamb to sacrifice instead. In the lunar Islamic calendar, Eid al-Adha falls on the 10th day of Dhu al-Hijjah and lasts for four days.
Hijri New Year The Hijri New Year, also known as Islamic New Year is the day that marks the beginning of a new Islamic calendar year, and is the day on which the year count is incremented. The first day of the year is observed on the first day of Muharram, the first month in the Islamic calendar. The first Islamic year beginning in 610 AD during which the emigration of Muhammad from Mecca to Medina, known as the Hijra.
National Day The United Arab Emirates were formed on December 2, 1971, when the UK's treaty expired and the separate sheikdoms decided to form an independent union. Schools in the UAE celebrate National Day by holding national events and celebrations where kids like Ayman, Firas,Jasem,Falah and Raag will dress up in the Cultural "thoub and "kandoora" and perform the "youlah" and folkloric dances and organize cultural contests.
