  • List of Public Holidays For The Year 2014

    Under the Explanation to Section 25 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 (Central Act XXVI of 1881) read with the Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs Notification No.20-25/26/Pub.I, dated 8-6-1957, the Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby declare that in addition to Sundays expressly defined as Public Holidays in the said "Explanation" the following days shall be observed as Holidays in the Andhra Pradesh State during the year 2014.
    All Sundays are Holidays.

    In addition to the General Holidays , the State Government employees may avail themselves of Optional Holidays not exceeding FIVE during the year 2014 on the festival/occasions, at their option and irrespective of the religion to which the festival pertains. The Government of Andhra Pradesh direct that the days specified shall be observed as Optional Holidays by all the State Government Offices during the year 2014.
