South Africa National Lottery operator Gidani started the PowerBall game on October 23, 2009.
PowerBall® is a game of chance where the player should select, in a single play (one Board), five numbers and the PowerBall number that match the numbers and the PowerBall number drawn for the game in which the Player is participating. The PowerBall game has two grids. In the first or main grid the player is required to select 5 of 45 numbers. In the second or secondary grid the player is required to select 1 of 20 numbers. This is NOT a bonus ball. This is the PowerBall and it is a vital component of the game.
PowerBall draws are held on Tuesdays and Fridays.
PowerBall® lottery game is alread played in many countries including USA, Greece, Australia, New Zealand,UK to name a few.

If in any PowerBallŪ Draw, there are no Selections qualifying for a prize in the Jackpot category the prize money for this category will be added to the Jackpot for the next Draw. If there is no Jackpot Winning Selection, then the entire Jackpot prize pool will roll until there is a winner. In the event of a Cancelled Draw or Draws for whatever reason, the Jackpot rolled over from a Draw preceding the Cancelled Draw, will be added to the Jackpot for the next Draw. If in any Draw, there is no winner in any of the prize categories, the prize pool for the particular category will be rolled-down to the next category. Prize money allocated to each of the prize categories will be divided equally by the number of Winning Selections in that category.

Maryland's Mega Millions Winners Come Forward
The mystery has been solved: the Maryland Lottery?s winning Mega Millions ticket has been claimed. Stephen Martino, Director of the Maryland Lottery, announced at a press conference this morning that the ticket was claimed by three very happy individuals. The three friends, all of whom work in Maryland?s public education system, will share the $218.6 million portion of the record-breaking $656 million jackpot from March 30.

Maryland sold one of the winning tickets for last night?s record-breaking $640 million Mega Millions jackpot. The lucky ticket was purchased at a retailer in Baltimore County.
