EuroMillions is a pan-European lottery, launched on 7 February 2004. The first draw took place on Friday 13 February 2004 in Paris.
Initially only the UK, France and Spain were involved, but lotteries from Austria, Belgium, Ireland, Luxembourg, Portugal,
and Switzerland subsequently joined the draw on 8 October 2004.
Draws are held every Friday night, and take place in Paris.
Prizes, aside from the jackpot, are sized according to participation per country.

Maryland's Mega Millions Winners Come Forward |
The mystery has been solved: the Maryland Lottery?s winning Mega Millions ticket has been claimed. Stephen Martino, Director of the Maryland Lottery, announced at a press conference this morning that the ticket was claimed by three very happy individuals. The three friends, all of whom work in Maryland?s public education system, will share the $218.6 million portion of the record-breaking $656 million jackpot from March 30.

Kansas Lottery Introduces 'Anonymous,' the Mega Millions Multimillionaire |
The winner of Kansas? largest jackpot prize ever, Anonymous, was introduced this afternoon in a news conference held at Lottery headquarters in Topeka. The winner was one of three players nationwide to purchase a winning ticket in the world-record breaking $656 million Mega Millions jackpot drawing Friday, March 30, 2012. The Kansas winner plans to take the cash option, $157.9 million.

$640 Million Mega Millions Jackpot Hit in Maryland |
Maryland sold one of the winning tickets for last night?s record-breaking $640 million Mega Millions jackpot. The lucky ticket was purchased at a retailer in Baltimore County. Lottery officials are waiting for information on jackpot winners from other Mega Millions states. The multi-state Mega Millions game is played in 44 states and jurisdictions ? including Maryland, Virginia, Delaware and the District of Columbia. Last night?s winning numbers were 2-4-23-38-46 and Mega Ball 23.
